Welcome to provd

These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your use of the provd platform ('Service', 'Platform', 'we', 'our'). By accessing or using provd, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our Service.

1 Service Description

provd is a professional achievement tracking platform. You record what you accomplished — via WhatsApp or the web app — and AI transforms it into impact language ready for performance reviews, CVs, and LinkedIn. Our services include:

  • Log achievements via WhatsApp (text or voice note) or the web interface
  • AI-powered polishing of achievement descriptions using professional impact language
  • Organise achievements by company, project, and date
  • Generate and export PDF reports by period or project
  • Premium features via subscription

2 User Accounts

Registration

To access provd, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide true, accurate, and up-to-date information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your access credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use provd. By creating an account, you confirm that you have the legal age to enter into a binding contract in Portugal.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We recommend using strong and unique passwords. provd will not be responsible for any losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

3 WhatsApp Integration

provd integrates with WhatsApp to allow you to log achievements and request reports directly from your phone. By connecting your WhatsApp number, you agree to the following:

  • You must verify your WhatsApp number through the provd platform before using this feature
  • Text messages are limited to 1,000 characters per message
  • Voice notes are limited to 2 minutes in duration
  • You are limited to 50 WhatsApp messages per day
  • Voice notes are automatically transcribed and the resulting text is processed as a regular achievement entry
  • provd is not responsible for delays or failures caused by WhatsApp or third-party network issues

These limits exist to ensure fair use of the service and may be adjusted as the platform evolves. You will be notified if your message exceeds any of these limits.

4 AI-Generated Content

provd uses AI to transform your raw achievement notes into polished professional language. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated descriptions are suggestions and may not perfectly reflect your original intent — always review before using in a professional context
  • provd does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated content
  • You are solely responsible for how you use the polished descriptions in your career
  • Your achievement text is sent to a third-party AI service for processing — see our Privacy Policy for details

5 Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Plans

provd offers a free trial period followed by a paid Pro plan. The Pro plan unlocks unlimited achievements, AI polishing, WhatsApp integration, voice notes, and PDF report exports.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly
  • Payments are securely processed through Stripe
  • Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled
  • Prices may change with 30 days prior notice

Refunds

Payments are generally non-refundable, except when required by law. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to premium features until the end of the paid billing period.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

6 Acceptable Use

By using provd, you agree NOT to:

  • ✕ Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • ✕ Attempt to log achievements on behalf of other users without their consent
  • ✕ Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • ✕ Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
  • ✕ Use bots, scripts, or unauthorized automated methods to interact with the WhatsApp integration
  • ✕ Upload or submit content that is defamatory, offensive, or infringes third-party rights

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7 Privacy and Personal Data

Your privacy is important to us. The collection, use, and protection of your personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using provd, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy, including:

  • Account information (email, username, WhatsApp number)
  • Achievement records, projects, and companies you create
  • Voice note transcriptions processed by a third-party transcription service
  • Payment information (processed through Stripe)

We comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8 Intellectual Property

The provd Service, including all content, software, design, code, logos, and trademarks, is the property of provd and is protected by Portuguese and international intellectual property laws. Your achievement records remain your own — provd claims no ownership over the content you submit.

License of Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for personal and professional purposes, in accordance with these Terms.

Restrictions

You may not:

  • Modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the software
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices
  • Use the Service for commercial resale without express authorization

9 Disclaimer

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Service is provided 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE', without warranties of any kind.

provd does not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • AI-generated achievement descriptions will be accurate or suitable for all professional contexts
  • WhatsApp message delivery will always be immediate or guaranteed

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PROVD WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of achievement records, data, or career opportunities
  • Failures or delays in WhatsApp message delivery
  • Actions or omissions of third-party service providers

Our total liability, in any case, will not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the last 12 months, or €100, whichever is less.

11 Termination

By You

You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us. You can export all your data before closing. Closure does not result in a refund of fees paid.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal behavior
  • Abuse of the WhatsApp integration or rate limits
  • At the request of legal authorities

Effects of Termination

After termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may retain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

12 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on the website.

For material changes, we will attempt to notify you by email or through a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

We recommend that you review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.

13 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute related to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.

However, we respect the rights you may have under European Union consumer protection laws.
